Ashton Kutcher’s upcoming project “Spread” which his company Katalyst is producing and he is starring in is about a womanizer and the lover he scorns.
Jennifer Jason Leigh was set to star as the older woman, but she dropped out (Rumors are swirling that Leigh and her husband, “Margot at the Wedding” director Noah Baumbach, are expecting a child) and word is that former lesbian Anne Heche will be replacing her.
“Spread” is to be directed by David Mackenzie.

The Fanning sisters have pulled out of upcoming film “My Sister’s Keeper” because Dakota Fanning isn’t ready to shave her head for the role. The star of “War of the Worlds” is 13-years-old and the Nick Cassavetes film about a young girl who files for divorce from her parents after discovering she was only conceived to help prolong the life of her sick sister. Nine-year-old Elle Fanning was to play the younger sister’s role. The two girls will now be played by Sofia Vassilieva and Academy Award nominee Abigail Bresling as the elder and younger siblings, respectively.

I suppose her moving to Los Angeles was definitely a good idea for her career.
Buckley School and Harvard University graduate actress Rashida Jones, better known for her role as ‘Karen’ on NBC’s “The Office” and best known as daughter of music legend Quincy Jones and “Mod Squad” actress Peggy Lipton is starring in two upcoming films.
Jones, has landed the lead role opposite Paul Rudd in DeamWorks’ comedy “I Love You, Man”
The 32-year-old actress is also going to co-star in “Chilled in Miami” from Gold Circle Films which centers on a Miami businesswoman who is transferred to rural Minnesota and while there she re-evaluates her big city values. Jone plays Renee Zellweger’s best friend in the film.

McTiernan is thinking hard about how bad this film needs to be a hit…
I watched John McTiernan’s “Die Hard” the other night on AMC and was blown away but just how awesome this film and of course how much of a landmark film it was for the action genre. Bruce Willis really took action-star to the next level, rising up above Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold’s grasp-hold on the genre in the early 1990’s.
Now, McTiernan (who was emrboiled in the Anthony Pelicano wire-tapping scandal and who made the mistake of foregoing to direct “Die Hard 2“) is back with car-chase film “Run” with Thomas Jane (Thomas Jane - you sir are no Bruce Willis) attached to star. Jane, famous for his mediocre performance in “The Punisher” will lead the film that is set to shoot in Argentina and cost $35 million to make.
The film’s plot line revolves around Jane as an Interpol Police Agent who happens upon a large conspiracy while also pursuing a murder suspect.
BMW are on board to provide their vehicles for the car-heavy film and a Super Mustang will also apparently make an appearance in chase sequences that take place at over 120 miles per hour.
