Amy Pohler gives birth to baby boy and will not return to SNL
“Saturday Night Live” cast member and star of “Baby Mama” Amy Pohler announced that she and actor husband Will Arnett had a baby boy Archie Arnett .
The 8 lbs., 1 oz. boy’s birth was announced on the “Weekend Update” segment of “Saturday Night Live” by co-anchor Seth Myers who said: “Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she is having a baby.”
The 37-year-old Pohler revealed to Men’s Vogue in October that after seven seasons on “Saturday Night Live” she will be leaving the show. After her maternity leave, Pohler will appear in a new mockumentary series for NBC from the producers of “The Office”
Pohler told the magazine:
“It’s gonna be really hard — Boyz II Men hard — to say goodbye to yesterday. SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute, and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down.”
