“Gossip Girl” PSA against John McCain
The CW doesn’t exist to me. It’s a network that I normally pass over realizing that most of the nonsense on that channel is being produced and marketed to retarded 13 year old girls.
Then I realized everyone watches it. Even smart people. Even smart people who have a penis. It’s so weird. So one night I actually watched the supposed “most talked about show” on TV – “Gossip Girl” and sure enough it was trash and watching it made me feel dirty inside, however I have to admit it was better than 95% of the nonsense on TV and I’m pretty sure its the best thing on the CW (why else do I see these ridiculous “OMG” billboards promoting the show everywhere I go…?)
(Sidenote: I admit that I watched the 2 hour premiere of the re-incarnation of “Beverly Hills 90210” only to regret it fully after viewing it…)
Anyhow, the cast of the show “Gossip Girl” which includes people with silly real-life names like Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Penn Badgely have teamed up with director Doug Liman (”Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Swingers“) to spoof an anti-drugs spoof that switches the topic of drugs for children to parents who are thinking about voting for John McCain.
Kind of genius if you ask me…. (shame they didn’t spoof this classic PSA though…)
