Gerard Butler punches paparazzi
One of my favorite people in Hollywood, a friend and a scholar (has a law degree) Gerard Butler (also known as Gerry) has been accused of punching a photographer.
The 38-year-old Scottish actor and star of the blockbuster movie “300” is being investigated for the ‘alleged attack’ by the LAPD.
The ‘alleged attack’ occurred early Tuesday morning after Butler left an LA bar and the paparazzi was tailing him. Butler reportedly got out of the car and threw three or four punches at the photographer which resulted in a hospital visit to the photographer for a busted lip.
Clearly, the press are protected by their First Amendment rights and I have in the past supported paparazzi-stalking of stupid celebrities like Britney Spears or Orlando Bloom, but if Gerry Butler punched the guy, the guy clearly deserved it.
