BOPSY WEEKEND MOVIE PICK
There are four new wide releases this weekend: “Lakeview Terrace” with Samuel L. Jackson, “My Best Friend’s Girl” starring comedian Dane Cook, “Ghost Town” with British genius Ricky Gervais and the animated “Igor” from MGM. To me all four films look like duds. Sure, Gervais is a genius, but “Ghost Town” feels overly familiar, Dane Cook is box office poison, Sam Jackson will do any film for a paycheck and “Igor” seems like a second rate animated flick. So, if you haven’t seen it already, I’d send you to see “Burn After Reading” with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Sure, this Coen Bros. film hasn’t received amazing reviews, but its better than pretty much anything else out there currently.
