Indiana Jones Thursday box office
“Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull” opened its Memorial Day weekend Thursday with a take of $25.04 million dollars in North America on 4,260 screens (the 4th widest release of all-time.)
“Star Wars Episode II” opened on a Thursday in May with $30.1 million and finishing at $302.2 million. Episode III opened on a Thursday in May as well in 2005 with $50 million finishing at $380.3 million. “The Matrix Reloaded” did $37.5 million and ended with $281.6 million.
Most box office forecasters are anticipating a total take for Indy this weekend ranging from $115 to $113 million dollars.
