45-year-old movie action star and my personal hero Wesley Snipes is being chased by US prosecutors who insist he should spend three years behind bars and be fined $5 million in fines for tax evasion.

The actor was found guilty in February of failing to submit his tax returns (It’s April 15 – Tax Day, so be reminded people!) but he was cleared of the more serious charges including fraud.

Now prosecutors are reccomending that Snipes face the maximum penalty for a “brazen defiance” of United States taxation laws.

The jerk-off US Attorney named Robert O’Neill has pressed for the heavy penalty because the case provided a “singular opportunity” to “deter tax crime nationwide”. (another good reason to make this announcement on April 15th…)
