Jason Castro “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”
Jason Castro paid homage tonight on “American Idol” to one of my favorite renditions of any song – ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole accompanied by a ukelele.
‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ was originally written for Judy Garland by Harold Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg for the movie “The Wizard of Oz.” It later became her signature song.
The Israel Kamakawiwo’ole version was featured on the soundtrack of “Meet Joe Black” “Finding Forrester” and “50 Firsty Dates.”

Jason, You are a real blessing to music, your voice has a range that is understood by all, you can actually hear the tones and words in your voice along with the great vocals that you were blessed with, may the Lord Bless you always, Keep going, do not lose site of your blessings, You will go far! :)
