Sean Levert - member of 1980’s R&B trio LeVert and son of O’Jays lead singer Eddie Levert died Sunday at age 39.

Sean Levert died from some form of “illness” while serving a jail sentence in Cleveland.

He was sentenced last week to 22 months in jail for failing to pay $89,025 in child support.

The group LeVert was formed by Sean and Gerald Levert with childhood friendMarc Gordon and there hits included “Baby I’m Ready” and “Casanova.” “Casanova” was nominated for a Grammy in 1988 for best R&B performance by a duo or group and best R&B song.

Brother Gerald Levert died in 2006 at age 40 from mixing prescription and over-the-counter drugs (or what we in the biz call a ‘Heath Ledger.’)
