“Hormones” rage at Thai box office
After the success of Thai remake “Shutter” this past weekend at the box-office, perhaps Hollywood will be re-making teen comedy “Hormones” - a film that covers four stories about young love in high school and college that is currently the top hit in Thai theaters.
The film directed by Songyos Sukmaganan (”Dorm“) has grossed over $1.2 million dollars in its first weekend which is considered a very big opening for Thailand.
The film release took advantage of the Thailand’s summer school holidays and the lack of big Hollywood releases this weekend.
We expect New Regency’s “Shutter” released by Fox to open very big in Thailand since the original was a Thai film.
