Michael Cera – star of last year’s breakout feel-good unexpected-pregnancy comedy Knocked Up (or was it that other one?) – is in talks to play the titular role in Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright’s upcoming pic, Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life. Aforementioned is an adaptation of Brian Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel about a Canadian bass player (not Geddy Lee, alas) who must battle the seven evil ex-boyfriends of the woman he loves. This news not only gives tubby emo girls something to text message each other about, it elevates “Edgar Wright” to a second tier answer when playing “Six Degrees of Judd Apatow.”
