David Archuletta – “American Idol”
The Elijah Wood of the competition this year is 17-year-old David Archuleta from Murray, Utah. You can check out his MySpace page here. Apparently he’s a Capricorn.
He sang “You Better Shop Around” last night and did pretty well. This little sprite is one to watch. After all, he did win “Star Search” when he was a kid. Simon called his performance “the best performance of the night so far.”

I think David Archuletta is the Picasso of modern day music. I sincerely hope he is afforded every opportunity that David Cook is because he is
the superior singer and his manners are refreshing to see. He was the best of the best and never expected to win but should have. Keep going David, you made 44 million people believers from Day 1 so don’t let then down by not following your dreams and your destiny.

This year is the first time I have gotten hooked on watching American Idol. The first time I heard you sing, I was really taken by your vocal & performing talents. Following you through the final, I was hoping you would win but truly felt that yourself, David Cook, or Syesha Mercado was well deserving. I wanted you to win and I agree with Simon you truly out performed Mr. Cook at the final showdown. All three of you are my American Idols. My family and I have already bought tickets for the August 24th tour date in Houston, Texas. I am really looking forward to hearing you sing at the tour. my daughter has a very good ear for music. she has never thought any of the american idols were just completly amazing. she and i both think you are so much more than amazing., we always have said there will never be any more singers like elvis bing crosby frank sinatra dean martin but i am willing to say that you proved us wrong and we are so happy you did. I went over to my daughters house this morning and she was cleaning house and she had your version of the long and winding road on she said she never really was that into that song before you sang it. so david archuletta you really were the real winner in the eyes of everyone who knows what a beautiful voice is. good luck to you sweetie and i do mean sweetie you have all it takes.

i never cared for watching american idol but when i heard you sing in the first audition i was hooked i told everyone he is the winner theres no doubt in my mind, it is not fair it turned into a popularity contest you are by far the most talented i have ever seen, cant wait til your first single comes out, thank you for being original.
