Director Gavin Hood “(Rendition” and “Tsotsi“) began shooting 2nd unit for “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” two weeks ago.

The film, written by David Benioff (”Stay“) is set to release May 1, 2009 and will revolve around the Hugh Jackman character ‘Wolverine’ who lives a mutant life, seeks revenge against ‘Victor Creed ‘(who will later become ‘Sabertooth’) for the death of his girlfriend, and ultimately ends up going through the mutant Weapon X program.

Joining Jackman in the cast we are hearing rumors that Liev Schreiber will play ‘Victor Creed’ and Michael C. Hall will play ‘William Strker.’
