‘Jumper’ scores some bad early reviews….

Hayden, your new film sucks, did you hear that?
New Regency and Fox’s highly anticipated film “Jumper” starring Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson and Rachel Bilson is getting stinky reviews.
The Hollywood Reporter and other early reviews (Tomato-Meter currently at 20%) title that said that “Jumper goes nowhere, fast” pretty much says it all. Ouch!
They, like me, agree that Doug Liman would be a good match as director for the film about a man who discovers that he has a gift for teleportation. After all, Liman directed “The Bourne Identity” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” which were both huge hits.
But apparently “Jumper” is a dissapointment to those who have seen it (I see it at a screening on Thursday so I’ll give you my 2 cents thereafter) – citing spotty plotting and bland characters as the main detractors from the film being any good….
Hollywood Reporter predicts a good opening for the film and then some flat-lining after word gets out that this film is a stinker. BOPsy is currently analyzing the data, but we’ll be bold and agree with that analysis. 65% drop from week 1 to 2 is probably what this film will face. OPening on February 14th – which is Valentine’s Day, the film – without any major draws for females (Hayden Christensen who? Samuel Jackson what?) its going to be a tough sell for couples….
More soon on “Jumper”…..
