WGA Strike vote for Tuesday

The writers strike will most likely come to an end Tuesday when guild members will vote on lifting the existing restraining order.
Both WGA East and WGA West have voted to approve a new labor contract and are sending it to the guild for ratification was said today.
The vote will be conducted via a mailed ballot to members and also at a special meeting - at a time to be determined.
Blogger Ninke Finke from Deadline Hollywood reports that at the WGA West meeting, WGA President Patric Verrone declared the new contract “is a huge victory for us. This is the first we actually got a better deal in a new media than previously.” Finke says that Verrone gave credit to Peter Chernin (Fox) Bob Iger (Disney) and Les Moonves (CBS) with personally “being instrumental in making this deal happen.” And WGA chief negotiator John Bowman added that “what happened to the Golden Globes was instrumental in getting the CEO’s [back to] the table. It was a huge symbol.”
