Lionsgate gets DANGEROUS

Cage has yellow fever. Respect.
Lionsgate – aka “The Torture Porn and Tyler Perry Studio” (and really those genres aren’t as disimilar as you’d think) – just picked up North American rights for the Pang Brothers’ English-language Nic Cage starrer, Bangkok Dangerous.
Bangkok Dangerous is NOT about those Thailand sex bars where you stick your dick in a hole to receive anonymous gratification oddly enough, but concerns an American hitman (played by Cage) who goes to Bangkok to “execute” a series of jobs for a local crime lord. The Pang Brothers, Danny and Oxide (damn it, why couldn’t I have been named Oxide!) are best known for their 2002 Hong Kong scare-fest The Eye, which was actually much better than that unwatchable mess of an English remake, starring that Mexican chick everyone likes.
Dangerous was produced by Cage and Norm Golightly (come on, he made that name up!) of Saturn Films, as well as William Sherak and Jason Shuman of Blue Star Pictures.

I’m a huge fan of whatever Nic Cage’s wife is doing with her lips in this photo.
