Emmy Rossum…

Emmy Rossum is so sexy. We also have to point out that her last name rhymes with yum…
Since then, Rossum has performed in more than 20 theatrical performances along with performers such as Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. In 2004 at age 18 the pervs here at BOPsy took notice of her as she was the best thing in both “The Day After Tomorrow” and “The Phantom of the Opera” (no offense Gerry Butler, besides Emmy awon Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Young Actress for that film.)
Since then, Emmy’s been in “Mystic River” “Nola” “Songcatcher” and the forgettable “Poseidon” as well as releasing her debut album entitled “Inside Out” (she wrote all the songs in the album.)
Here’s some excerpts from an interview from AskMen:
Q: Your single, “Slow Me Down,” sounds very Enya-Imogen Heap-like, but who would you say are your musical influences?
A: Well, I wanted to do this type of style which took me a few months to kind of find and develop. It’s really organic and I feel like it’s influenced by all the musical styles that I’ve been kind of subjected to or influenced by over the course of the 21 years of my life. I started in classical music, but I didn’t really want to make a classical record, but I think it has elements of that.
I’d say that my musical influences are anywhere from pop-rock electronica, new age and classical. But I think that specifically, bands — I love Jem, I love Sigur Ross, I love David Gray, I love Elliot Smith… a lot of different people. But I don’t find lyrical inspiration from anybody. I really find that from myself and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to not play a character.
Q:What was it like working with Gerard Butler in The Phantom?
A: Awesome! I mean, he is one of my best friends. I’m an only child, so he’s kind of like my big brother. I know that’s a huge letdown to a lot of fans that would like us to grow up and get married! You know, there are all these websites that are like, “Gemmy Forever!” They’ve kinda created us as a little Brangelina, and they’ll only be happy if we’re together… But we’re best friends, and it’s just funny to both of us.
He’s an incredible person; he’s a warm person; he’s the kind of person you can go to and trust. He’s loyal. He’s a great friend; he’s really funny — one of the funniest people . And he tells the best jokes. I mean, he will tell a story in 10 different accents with the best punch line. Like, it’ll be a 20-minute joke and you’ll be dying laughing — jokes that I would try and tell, and could never pull off! He’s just incredible that way. And he’s just a lovely human being.
Q:What’s been your most memorable moment in Hollywood, as an actress, so far?
A: Probably sharing a tuna-fish sandwich with Sean Penn. [It was] on the set of Mystic River. It was just like; sh*t, this is it… This is amazing.
Q:Are you comfortable being seen as such a sex symbol by most guys?
A: Oh, um. Ha! As she laughs uncomfortably… I guess being sexy is cool. I’m cool with that, if people think that I’m sexy. It’s not something that I really try to achieve; I just try to be myself and that’s just kind of the honest answer.
I hope that I’m sexy in a different kind of way than I think that a lot of girls are right now. I think a lot of girls in the public eye, especially musical artists, are just kind of objectified a little bit and wearing super-skimpy outfits and leaving nothing to the imagination. I think there’s something to be said for people who are a little bit more… I think that confidence is the sexiest thing and when you’re really comfortable in your own skin — which I think is something everyone struggles with and something that, you know, especially with the body image issues that are out there today… And one second Britney Spears is too skinny, then the next second she’s too fat. Nicole Ritchie, the same thing. I mean, there’s just so much focus on that, it’s hard to just be OK with yourself.
