Friends come to Tom Cruise’s defense
Tom Cruise is a High Commander in the Thetan Army
BOPsy and others have been pretty harsh on Tom Cruise and his Scientological hyper-crazy video that’s recently come out and has concerned people in general that the intentions of the Scientology religion are not only to help themselves, but rather to inflict some kind of greater societal goals in the process. The backlash (of the videos being released as well as Andrew Morton’s scathing biography of Cruise that has recently hit bookshelves) has obviously hurt the sensitive Cancerian actor - therefore Tom Cruise’s friends are now standing up for him. Adam Sandler told People Magazine in a statement:
“To see anyone’s private life invaded and mocked like this is sickening. It’s especially gross when it happens to a guy like Cruise, who’s a great dad, a great husband, and a great friend.”
Dustin Hoffman, Tom Cruise’s Rain Man co-star said:
“Tom Cruise is an American and has the right to freedom of speech and freedom of religion.”
Dan Snyder, the Washington Redskins who invests with Cruise/Wagner Productions defends his business associate with:
“Tom is a winner. That’s a fact,” Snyder writes in an e-mail. “He is a terrific actor, a terrific father and a terrific person. I’m proud to be his friend.”
In the same People Magazine article, actors including Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller and producer Harvey Weinstein speak out in defense of their friend. Ben Stiller says:
“Imagine having a baby and people talking about it the way they did…. People lose sight of the fact that Tom Cruise is actually a person. I feel for him.”
Now ask me again if we are sorry for making fun of Tom Cruise?
Answer: No we aren’t…..
