Mark Wahlberg – whose vibrations feel good like Sunkist — has signed on to star in Pete Berg’s biopic of crazy-ass drug smuggling motherfucker Jon Roberts, whose exploits were recently detailed in the awesome documentary COCAINE COWBOYS.Wahlberg will play Roberts, who in the 70’s and 80’s helped the Medellin cartel turn Miami into America’s epicenter of tacky nuevo-wealthy opulence for the bad bronzer and boob-job set. The irony of course being that Medellin kingpin Pablo Escobar was the role Vinnie Chase played in the fictional biopic MEDELLIN on Wahlberg’s HBO show ENTOURAGE, which is about four Hollywood douchebags — who never experience any setbacks or hardships — and their shitty agent, all of whom should die in a meth lab explosion – loosely based on Wahlberg’s charmed life.

Peter Berg and Film 44 cohort Sarah Aubrey will produce, along with Wahlberg and his Entourage producing partner Stephen Levinson. A writer will be hired when and if the strike ever ends, which it probably won’t.
