The good thing about writing a blog about celebrities getting married is that it gives you a lot to write about. Principally because they are always getting married and then complimenting their marriages by getting unmarried, or as in the case of Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds - divorced.

Married on New Year’s Day in Bora Bora, Indonesia.

As of mid-January – divorced!

Here’s what Eddie Murphy’s publicist said in a statement:

“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”
