Christian Bales signs on for Terminator 4
Christian Bale will star in the fourth installment of the Terminator franchise entitled “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.”
Bale was cast after it became apparent that action star-turned-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would not be appearing in the Terminator film.
Former head of Intermedia and the film’s producer Moritz Borman refuses to confirm or deny rumours about Bale joining the movie’s cast. Borman told British film magazine Empire, “No comment. You can draw your own conclusions from that.” However, Christian Bale is listed on IMDB’s page and various sources have revealed to me that this rumor is indeed fact. (perhaps the contracts haven’t been signed or there are WGA or SAG strike considerations to take into account.)
Rumors have also been circulating that Vin Diesel was approached for a part in the film, but Borman put an end to those rumors saying: ”I can tell you that Vin Diesel is not somebody we’re currently talking to.”
“Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” will be directed by McG (”Charlies Angels“) and is scheduled for a 2009 release from Warner Bros.
“The Terminator” (1984) – $38 million box office
“Terminator 2: Judgement Day” (1991) – $205 million box office
“Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” (2003) – $150 million box office
