Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones starring Harrison Ford and Shia Labeouf
By now you’ve all probably heard about the widely anticipated Indiana Jones 4 film that’s currently shooting on every studio lot in the Los Angeles area and is being released by Paramount in May, 2008. The film marks the fourth time that director Steven Spielberg and series creator George Lucas re-team with Harrison Ford. This time, the script to “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was penned by David Koepp (War of the Worlds, Spider-Man and Panic Room.)
BOPsy’s sources reveal that the budget is in the modest range of $70 million for the film (but that probably does not include back-end for gross participants Speilberg, Lucas and Ford.)
New additions to the cast include Shia LaBeouf (in what we presume is the role of Indiana Jones’ son,) Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, Jim Broadbent, John Hurt and familiar Indy love-interest Karen Allen (who apparently at age 56 still looks pretty good according to our insider.) It will be good to see Allen again in something that doesn’t require Lifetime Channel viewing and it will be interesting to see how geriatric 65 year-old Harrison Ford does in this action film.
Apparently George Lucas’ involvement is minimal other than some story elements and nine days on set (a good thing) and Spielberg is using film and not going digital (another good thing which will keep the look & feel of the film consistent with the first three.)
The story itself is being kept under wraps and our source reveals that the actors themselves have not read an entire script so if we do discover anything we shall let you know…

“Oh Shia, its nice to grab a hold of someone with some meat on his bones, Calista’s like a skeleton with skin”
