This is not what Samaire looked like when she moved to LA at age 19

Was checking out People today and came across an interesting headline about an actress chick I used to know. My gut said to me straight away… Lindsay Lohan is probably to blame, but I actually don’t mean that. I mean, I personally knew a really nice actress from Arizona once named Samaire Armstrong. She was a 20 and a client at a talent agency I worked at and she was a really sweet girl. Very nice and sweet and always concerned that the people that worked with her could pronounce her name properly - “Sah-Mee-rah” (not “Saw-Mayre.”)

I’d see her out from time to time (this is 2001-2002) out and about and she would hardly drink and was really down to Earth. Add a drop of fame (a recurring role on Fox’s “The OC”) a best-friendship with “It girl” (at the time) actress Mischa Barton and then another job on HBO hit-show Entourage and you’ve pretty much turned a good-girl straight nasty. I mean she literally was the girl “who loves horses and Elvis” from a Tom Petty song and she had turned into a walking cliche. A cliche’ worthy of TMZ.

Adding insult to injury, my next employers then give her a supporting role in the film Just My Luck working with the dilligent and talented Lindsay Lohan (she also loves Jesus and America too….) And you’ve got a train-wreck who probably snorts more coke than the entire band Poison combined with Ozzy Osbourne in the 1980’s.

And now she’s heading to an “outpatient facility” after landing a role on ABC’s hit show Dirty, Sexy, Money…..

Oh and I also read this that happened recently with Samaire - where Maxim magazine removed pictures of her from their Hot 100 Issue because she stated in an interview that

“I didn’t want to do it. I just did. I did it twice but I didn’t want to do it either time”. (referring to the sexy pictures) “I really got talked into it. They’re fired by the way. I don’t work with those managers. And you can put that on the record.”

OK, so her managers are fired, but who put the drugs in your nose? Did you fire them?

I mean sure, it might not be for drugs- this was the statement that was issued by her publicists after all:

“Samaire Armstrong decided to enter an outpatient facility to deal with some personal issues in a therapeutic atmosphere and is doing very well.”

but who is kidding who? We all have very good reasons to believe that this is “most likely” drug related….
