Weinstein guesses wrong by splitting Grindhouse films in Europe

Tarantino really does have an absurd foot fetish
Turns out that Harvey Weinstein gets them wrong sometimes. And sometimes he gets them wrong twice on the same film.
The double bill of Grindhouse failed in the US, so Harvey though get more bang for your buck by splitting the Tarantino and Rodriguez films in Europe, but according to this article from the UK’s Guardian Newspaper it seems as though Tarantino’s Death Proof film (split off from Planet Terror) could only manage sixth place this past weekend and pathetic box office grab of only £407,525. And Tarantino has rock idol status in the UK - so this is surprising.
Reports indicate that the UK Box Office is having a stellar summer because of unusually high amounts of rain (British people run to the cinema when its raining and stay outside and sun their white, pale skin when its sunny - i.e. 5 days a year.)
Death Proof was only mildly recieved in Cannes
In addition to the disastrous opening of Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof this past weekend, Angelina Jolie’s A Mighty Heart about newspaper reporter Daniel Pearl’s story continued to dissapoint and finished outside the top ten film.
