NOTHING BUT TROUBLE - art imitates life in CIA outing movie
Israeli born, former film critic and now director “Zvi” Rod Lurie has green-lit to direct a film called NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH based on his screenplay. The film will reportedly star Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon and Vera Farmiga (THE DEPARTED.)
The film (not yet listed on IMDB) is reportedly about
a Washington, D.C.-based newspaper reporter (Beckinsale) who reveals the identity of a CIA agent and is jailed for refusing to name her source. Matt Dillon will play the prosecutor and Farmiga is to play the outed CIA Agent.
Bob Yari will produce the project and the cameras will start rolling in October. Of course the script’s plot line does echo the Valerie Plame/”Scooter” Libby events that have further marred the George W. Bush presidency.
