Baldwin Leaves CAA, Gets “Dad of the Year” Mug
Alec Baldwin, most recently in the news for his phone tirade of his daughter on her cell phone voicemail has left CAA. The Oscar and Emmy nominated actor I suppose didn’t want to be represented by the same agency that reps his ex-wife Kim Basinger. I don’t know about you, but I’m with Baldwin on this one. Not sure anybody knows all the facts, but I think the bigger blame goes on Kim Basinger for damaging daughter Ireland by releasing this tape to the media and by not cooperating with the custody guidelines that were worked out and designated Baldwin a set hour in the day to speak with his daughter. A time which she didn’t cooperate with and therefore was in breach of what the court had ordered. Basinger, the daughter’s mother – with primary custody should have insured that her daughter was there at the set time to take the call.

The surly star flew into a profanity-laced diatribe in which he belittled his child, calling her a “rude, thoughtless little pig” and chastised her because he interrupted his date just to end up on voice mail.

Alec Baldwin wasn’t most upset that his daughter couldn’t or wouldn’t come to the phone. Alec Baldwin was on a dinner date, and it seemed like he was most upset, that his appetizers were growing cold.

A parent/child relationship is completely private. I agree with this article. We do not know what goes on behind closed doors and we do not know what caused alec to blow his top but people do have weak moments. all of our parents have yelled us- do we love them any less? if every time our father or mother yelled at or called us “spolied” or a “brat” or something in the heat of the moment, we thought they were horrible, abusive parents, then we would be in big trouble. most of this country has gone through was alec is going through but just less publicized. shame on kim for releasing that voicemail and shame on her for keeping her daughter away from her own father.

Its definitely debateable who won the “Father of the Year” award…Ryan O’Neal or Alec Balwin….??? My vote is for the 70’s
