Dolemite Remake in the Works
Remake Fever: Dolemite. Dolemite? Dolemite!!
According to Tha HR, Bill Fishman’s Fallout Entertainment has purchased the rights to blaxploitation classic Dolemite, which Fishman (Car 54 Where Are You, Tapeheads) will direct from a script penned by Jeff Hause and David Hines. Warren Zide will producercize.
According to Fishman, Chaaaaah-lie Murphay and Wayne Brady are attached. Snoop Dogg may also make an appearance, as well as the original Dolemite himself, Rudy Ray Moore.
In the meantime, I strongly suggest you track down a copy of the criminally unsung sequel, KUNG FU DOLEMITE. “Don’t you know there’s ninjas everywhere?” Damn good shit.
