Weekend Recap 02/23/2007 – 02/25/2007
GHOST RIDER RIDES AGAIN

“New from Joseph Enterprises: The Nic Cage Chia Pet”
As predicted, Mark Steven Johnson’s latest mediocre funny-book film Ghost Rider stayed at the head of the pack this weekend (despite a major drop-off). The Number 23 came in number 2 (and reviews likened it to a big pile of number 2), with a disappointing 15 mil. Bridge to Terabithia was a bit of a surprise at number 3, beating out new release Reno on a weekend short on comedy. Amazing Grace proved to be the biggest star of the weekend, pulling in an impressive $4.3 on a mere 791 screens.
NEXT WEEKEND
Fincher’s serial killer romp ZODIAC. Middle-aged biker buddy movie WILD HOGS. Sam Jackson gets snake-y again with BLACK SNAKE MOAN. And in limited release, FULL OF IT and WILD TIGERS I HAVE KNOWN.
